Training Courses
Our programme of courses has been carefully designed to meet the training and development needs of both emergency responders (the technical rescue sector) and industry (organisations operating in hazardous environments such as floodwater, rivers, and rescues from height).
A full range of training courses are available, which reflect the roles personnel and teams may undertake during operational duties. These include specialist courses such as Safe Working Near Water, Co-Worker Rescue at Height, Swiftwater Rescue Boat Operator, and Confined Space Rescue Operator. These courses enable personnel and teams to operate safely and within their specialist roles.
If these courses don’t meet your requirements we also offer customised training courses, which are designed around the needs of your organisation/personnel.
Our courses are available from our training centre in Glyndyfrdwy, in North Wales, at the Tees Barrage in the northeast, and at Staffordshire Fire & Rescue's confined space training centre near Stone, Staffordshire. In addition, where suitable venues exist we can deliver contracted courses at the client’s own location. This often results in significant cost reductions.
Courses are available as either Open Enrolment or Contracted courses. Open Enrolment courses are run on specific dates and can be booked on a per person basis. Contracted courses can be organised for groups by arrangement. Residential and non-residential options are available for both Open Enrolment and Contracted courses.

Water and Flood Safety and Rescue Training Courses
We provide a full range of water and flood safety and rescue training courses, from Safe Working Near Water to Management of Water and Flood Incidents.
Training can be based at our centre in Glyndyfrdwy, North Wales, which is adjacent to the River Dee and Llangollen Canal. Alternatively courses can also be delivered at our client's own venue by arrangement.
A number of our courses also comply with the Water and Flood Rescue training modules outlined by Defra, which ensures that personnel are trained to nationally recognised levels of competence and that agencies can declare water rescue resources in line with national credentialing and team typing.
In addition all our courses carry international certification from Rescue 3 International, which is recognised (and often required), by rescue organisations and services around the globe.

Our water and flood safety and rescue training courses for emergency responders cover all operational levels, from Awareness to Technician. They also include specialist training, such as Rescues from Vehicles in Water and Management of Water and Flood Incidents.

Working at Height / Rope Rescue Training
Our working at height and rope rescue training courses cover all operational levels, from Safe Working at Height to Rope Rescue Technician, and also include Instructor training.
All our courses carry international certification from Rescue 3 International, which is recognised (and often required), by rescue organisations and services around the globe.

Powered Boat Operations Training Courses
We are able to provide a full range of Rescue Boat Operations training, from flat (basic) water to flood and swiftwater. All our boat courses carry international certification from Rescue 3 International, which is recognised (and often required), by rescue organisations and services around the globe..
Our courses are based at Plas Menai, the National Watersports Centre, just outside Caernarfon. The centre is based on the Menai Straits, a tidal race which offers perfect conditions for rescue boat operations.
Rescue boat operations - training for emergency responders
We are able to provide a full range rescue boat operations training courses for emergency responders. These cover basic (flat), flood and swiftwater environments. We are able to provide a full range of Confined Space training from Safe Working in Confined Spaces through to Confined Space Rescue training and instructor certification. All courses are certified by Rescue 3.
Our Confined Space courses are delivered in partnership with Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service at their training centre near Stone, Staffordshire which has an excellent Confined Space training facility. Course can also be delivered at client’s own venue by arrangement.

Rescue 3 Instructor Updates
Every 2 years, Rescue 3 Europe Instructors are required to:
- Instruct a course
- Attend an online instructor update (with Rescue 3 Europe)
- Attend a practical instructor update (with a training provider)
For each discipline they're an instructor in.
