BOOKING CONDITIONS

Valid for bookings from 24th August 2023 until further notice. R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd (R3SAR) offers a wide range of safety and rescue training courses. All courses are staffed by appropriately qualified staff. Staff to delegate ratios is in accordance with Rescue 3 Europe guidelines. Whilst every reasonable attempt will be made to deliver courses, R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd reserve the right to cancel or modify courses due to safety considerations and factors beyond our control.

LIABILITY AND INSURANCE

•Safety and rescue training courses are potentially dangerous. Delegates must be aware of this and accept the risks associated with these courses. Responsibility for injury or illness arising from safety and rescue training courses or associated activities can only be accepted if caused by negligence on the part of R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd or people working on behalf of R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd.
•R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd is under no liability whatsoever in respect of loss or damage to property, however caused, whilst taking part in a training course arranged by R3 Safety & Rescue Ltd whether on R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd premises or at another location.
•Delegates are strongly advised to arrange their own insurance cover. R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd is unable to offer any form of insurance cover (other than public liability).

HEALTH AND SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

•Due to the strenuous nature of safety and rescue training courses, delegates should be physically fit. Anyone with a medical condition must seek medical advice before considering taking part.
•Delegates on water-based courses must be able to swim at least 25m in a swimming pool, except for Lifejacket User courses.
•Delegates must be aged 18 or over.
•Spectacles may be worn. It is recommended that spectacles are impact resistant with plastic lenses and frames. The wearer must accept that injury may still occur if any form of spectacles are worn, and accept full responsibility for any such injury.
•Contact lenses may be worn by participants. The wearer must accept that injury or infection may occur, and accept full responsibility for any such injury or infection.
•Delegates will not be permitted to consume alcohol or drugs prior to, or during courses. R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd staff reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone considered to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd staff may require any delegate to leave the course if that person is not of a suitable standard to be on that particular course or if that person acts in any such manner as to endanger themselves, other course delegates or any other user of the training venue.

DISABILITIES

•Disabled persons are welcome to participate in safety and rescue training courses. Please send details of any specific requirements to R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd at the time of booking.
•R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd must be informed of any medical conditions (asthma, epilepsy, deafness etc) and any additional requirements for any delegates to whom they apply.

EQUIPMENT AND CLOTHING

•R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd can supply all specialist equipment required for safety and rescue training courses.
•Damage or loss to supplied equipment caused by negligence, malicious acts or carelessness must be paid for at the time at the current replacement value.

WATER QUALITY

•R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd uses several natural rivers, lakes and marine venues to provide realistic training environments. R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd cannot be held responsible for the quality of water at such venues since water carries different levels of bacteria affected by factors such as river level, water temperature and rainfall.
•R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd does not undertake water quality testing but does implement practical control measures when necessary, such as post immersion de-contamination and providing good practice advice to course delegates who will be entering water.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

•In the event of failure to deliver any courses due to there being inappropriate environmental conditions (e.g. severe cold weather, heavy snow or insufficient water levels) when no other suitable venues can be used, R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd reserves the right to transfer the course to a future date. R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd will not accept liability for any other expenditures or costs incurred by prospective delegates.
•R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd reserves the right to modify or postpone courses to optimise environmental conditions.

BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS

•No provisional bookings will be accepted.
•A booking will only be accepted upon receipt of a completed and signed booking form with the appropriate payment. This can be done by email, post or in person.
•Payment can be taken by card over the phone or in person; bank transfer; cheque (if necessary).

CANCELLATIONS, TRANSFERS AND REFUNDS

Should you need to cancel your booking for any reason, the following charges and terms will apply:

Open Enrolment Bookings:

*Non-recoverable costs refer to deposits and payments made to secure the provision of hotel rooms, training venues, instructor travel etc.

 

Contracted Bookings:

REFUNDS

•R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd reserves the right to cancel or transfer courses and / or course venues at short notice. Where a course has been cancelled by R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd a full refund will be provided. R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd will not accept liability for any other expenditures or costs incurred by prospective delegates.
•No refunds will be offered for cancellations which arise from circumstances that are beyond the control of R3 Safety and Rescue Ltd.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

•As part of the continual review of safety and associated considerations, the conditions of booking are subject to change, clarification, and modification at any time.
•Only the Managing Director, or their appointed Deputy, is empowered to vary or waive any of the conditions of booking. Such decisions are totally at the discretion of the Managing Director or Appointed Deputy.
