Provides personnel with the basic boat skills required to operate in floods and undertake flood rescue operations e.g. rescue and evacuation.
COURSE CONTENT
Includes:
- Floodwater powerboat operations
- Basic paddleboat handling
- Launch & recovery in flood conditions
- Casualty rescue from water and structures
- Flood search operations
- Use of boats to access and transport people trapped by floodwater
COURSE PRE-REQUISITES
Current Rescue 3 SFR certification or alternative Defra Module 2 compliant certification
DURATION
3 days or as a 1 day add on to RBO/RYA Level 2
